The Nacer group assumed responsibility of the Cristo Viene Boys home in 2002, when the home was turned over by the government. The boys were in bad shape and in need of much attention.
A Christian couple, Lorenzo and Celida, volunteered to run the home. They have dedicated themselves to the boys, and it has been hard work.
Many of the boys come from homes where they have been abandoned or abused. Some boys have spent time on the streets. They all come from different backgrounds and have different problems.
Hi! My name is Jhonny Perez. I am 15 years old. I was 11 when my parents left me and my three brothers. Our father would leave us in the house without food sometimes. This went on for quite awhile until one day a man took us to a home for boys but I escaped from there and when I came back they took me to Cristo Viene boys home. My parents have not come to visit and have forgotten about me, but thanks be to God because I have come to know Jesus Christ as my Savior. I attend school close by and I am in 5th grade. I am very happy to be here in the home but we long to have a place of our own so that I can learn good things and become a good Christian man and serve others.
